A 9-hole golf course was grubbed out of the land known as Archbold\u2019s Paddock and the Club, now known as The Killara Golf Club was born. However, the founding fathers could not obtain a long-term lease for the site and the search was on for a more suitable site.<\/p>\n<h3>The Killara Golf Club &#8211; The First 125 years &#8211; A Podcast in two parts<\/h3>\n<p>Following substantial research of Killara Golf Club\u2019s Archives, early publications available on research sites such as Trove, a division of the National Library, and a variety of other sources, we are pleased to bring the audio story of our first 125 years to members and to all those interested in the history of the golf club and surrounding neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>The podcast has been produced by Steve Smith, also known as The Golfing Greenkeeper, and was recently recorded in the dining room at the Killara Golf Club.
