18 Holes – Canadian Foursomes Stableford For Amateur Lady Golfers with GA Handicaps The event is open to any mother and daughter pair with golf handicaps of +/-45 (no club handicaps).  The original Cup was presented by Miss Fay Middows (Mrs GR Davidson) in 1934. Miss Middow’s other was a foundation member of the Killara Golf Club.   In 1994, Mrs Mollie Hodgkinson presented a trophy for the best Killara Pair  to commemorate the 60th year of the Mother and Daughter Trophy. Mollie was lady Captain from 1967-69, Lady President 1971-73 and was elected a Life Member of Killara in 2005. The original trophy for the Best Killara Pair was a pair of Silver Wine Goblets, but is now an engraved Silver Salver. The Mother and Daughter Cup was at the Australian Golf Club when their club was destroyed by fire, but miraculously our cup survived. Both perpetual trophies now no longer leave the club. The original event was a foursomes stroke handicap event and ties were decided by an 18 hole play-off. Nowadays the event is an 18 hole Canadian Foursome Stableford, with winners names being engraved on the Cup and Salver.

In 2013 Mrs Pam Farrington donated a trophy for the best Mother & Daughter in Law pair.
